Creative Vision
Their journey as both artists and life partners has been guided by a shared love of the beach, fearless color, and the joy of building something together. For more than 25 years, Dave and Holly (Daven Holly) have created distinctive artwork inspired by the world around them. What began as a simple experiment—turning broken glass and mirrors into wall art—quickly evolved into a creative partnership fueled by mutual inspiration. “We realized right away that we spark ideas in each other,” Holly says. “When we work together, there’s a kind of magic that happens.”
Holly leads the painting process, layering vibrant acrylics and ink to bring each piece to life. Dave works behind the scenes—building and prepping wood cradles, refining details, and offering his thoughtful artistic perspective. “I always ask for his opinion,” Holly laughs, “but only when I’m ready to hear it!”
From the gentle blush of sunrise to the electric blues of the Gulf, color anchors their work. “Color creates the mood,” Holly explains. “It can calm you or energize you—it tells the story before anything else.
Early mornings are when creativity flows most freely. Holly often becomes completely immersed, watching each piece evolve in unexpected ways. As a painting nears completion, Dave steps in with a careful eye. “He has a gift for suggesting small changes that make a big difference,” she says.
